I am a professor of Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Acoustics. This means I teach a variety of courses in engineering – some have a strong focus on mechanical engineering and some have a focus on acoustics and music. One of the classes I teach is ‘Introduction to Musical and Architectural Acoustics’ – this class details why instruments sound the way they do and why different rooms sound differently.

From time to time, generally when I’m preparing for a class, I come across something quite interesting that others might find interesting too… This blog where I will share these ideas!
